The story behind

It all started with our 2019 anniversary model—the VENTI. It sold out within a few days, and demand far exceeded the number of units we had planned to build. As a result, we stuck with a limited special edition of 50 units—worldwide.

Then came 2020 and the pressure to reissue something like this. There was particularly strong interest in the U.S., which is why we built on the insights gained from the VENTI to develop a special model for the U.S. and Upscale Audio—the TRIO SE.

The many inquiries about the availability of this model, including from other countries, ultimately led to the TRIO SE concept being further refined, resulting in the VIRGO SE; SE standing for Single Arm Edition…

The idea

… was not only to give the 3-motor concept a visually appealing, timeless design, but also to extract the maximum sound quality from it. Uncompromising, straightforward, flexible, and elegant. And when we say uncompromising, we mean it—because the VIRGO SE comes directly to your home bundled with our LINEAR power supply.

We also offer our company's own STRAIGHT-10 or STRAIGHT-12 tonearms as an option. You get a turntable built from a single source that will give you years of uncompromising music enjoyment…

The result

… harmonious elegance, the design language of our familiar look and feel, impeccable performance. Setup and adjustment? A breeze, because the VIRGO SE also features built-in adjustment tools. Adjusting the tonearm and cartridge takes just a few minutes. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is. And of course, our proven slider/armboard mechanism is also built in here.
